Originally from Lisbon, Portugal, after living and working in London for 4 years and another 4 years in the Riviera Maya, Mexico is hard to call one place home. That is why I’ve decided to work remotely as a senior UI/UX Designer.
I have a degree in Industrial Design, but I’ve focused my professional path in the digital market, starting as a web designer and therefore, when the new technologies of CMS, SaaS and smartphones took a surprising growth in the last decade my work diverged mainly to the digital interaction, taking the same principles and methodologies linked to the importance of human-centred design acquired from the industrial design knowledge and adapted to the Digital Era to create the best creative approach and problem solving, designing new and better solutions that are adjusted to the user needs without compromising the functionality and main goal of the product.
I have over 10 years of experience, and I've worked in several business markets such as Software, Finance, Bank, Health, Music, Real Estate and I have worked for multinational companies like Thomson Reuters and Alfresco Software which gave me a deep knowledge of a complex design process within heavy data visualisation and I've got the opportunity to develop, create and follow a highly restricted style guide system to bring consistency to all company's products.
I am a very self-driven and disciplined person with ultra-efficiency to deadlines and perseveration in problem-solving situations. I’m extremely organized and I have a keen eye for pixel perfection, attention to detail, style and creative art. I am passionate about everything I do and I find inspiration all around me which helps me to think clearly as a designer.
I fit very precisely within teams and due to my work-friendly nature and team player, I never had any instances of conflict with co-workers and I'm always open to any advice and opinion that might bring a better outcome at work.
